I have heard the languages of apocalypse
and now I shall embrace the silence.

October 17th, 2019 :Patient Zero released.
October 19th, 2019 :400+ infected.
October 23rd, 2019 :State of emergency.
October 27th, 2019 :Epidemic.

Streets are empty, lawns overgrown with weeds and wildflowers alike. Crows caw from dead power-lines, waiting for their next inevitable meal in South Park.

By 2020 half the worlds population has been wiped out by the aftermath of biochemical warfare: a haphazardly produced virus with no prevention, no cure. Before its collapse, the government attempted to halt the spread by instituting cordons, town-wide quarantines, with makeshift walls out of storage containers surrounding the borders - then left to fend for themselves without food, electricity or running water. Pockets of infection continue to pop up and new threats appear.

Will you survive? Will it be worth it?

MALL
Dilapidated, rundown and abandoned. Supplies still exist here, but it's not safe enough to serve as a permanent shelter for most people. Danger level: Moderate.

SCHOOL
After the infection hit and the town went dark, a group of kids took to the school and boarded it up. Butters, Dougie, Thomas, Kevin S. and Scott can be found here. People without a solid place to stay often migrate to the school to rest. Christophe and Gregory build pitfalls in exchange for supplies here and often trade with Wendy for medical supplies. Butters and Kevin have managed to make a garden indoors.

CHURCH
Ironically enough, the Goth kids were cornered in the church after the outbreak. Michael allowed Jacob Hallery to stay there after the murder of infected Father Maxi, saving the life of Pete.

JIMBOS
Ransacked by Craig and Stan's group, effectively useless for weapons but first aid kits and alcohol are hidden here. Jimbo's aimlessly existing in the back room closet, succumbed to the virus and slowly withering.

RAISINS
Full of infected, boarded up from the outside. Danger level: High.

LIBRARY
The 'raider' group lives here, headed by none other than Wendy, Bebe, and Red. Kyle, Token and Jimmy were saved by them and taken in. They switch between staying at the library and holding up within the police station, never staying out past dark.

CITY WOK
Abandoned. Canned food and bottled water. Danger level: Low.

SKEETERS
Craig and Stan's gang reside here. Tweek, Clyde, Kenny, and Tricia make up the rest of the group. It's a sturdy building, and the alcohol left over is good for cleaning wounds as well as making molotov cocktails.

CITY HALL
Cartman, Heidi, Ike, Filmore and Sally T. are holed up here; Cartman has elected himself the leader despite the fact Heidi calls most of the shots. The infected officials from the office are chained up in the yard thanks to Cartman. The fence is covered in heads from people who attempted to steal from him.

TWEEK BROS.
Tweek, Lola, Kevin M., Karen and Annie T. are all ( luckily ) stationed together here. Tweek was taking care of the shop when the news started, and he locked himself along with everyone who was in the shop with him inside the building. His quick thinking means they had enough time to fill buckets, bottles and cups with usable water. Tweek travels between this group and Craig's to keep an eye on him.

BIJOU CINEMA
Full of ( junk ) food and drinks, the cinema has been mostly untouched due to how dark it is inside. Danger level: Unknown.

POLICE STATION
'Raider' group territory.

AMAZON FULFILLMENT CENTER
The infection started here; it's full of supplies but incredibly dangerous to venture into. Easily the most likely place to die in South Park. The only person who can reliably get supplies from here is Kenny. Danger level: Critical.

CONTRACTION PHASE
Within 9 hours of contraction, flu-like symptoms begin to present: sneezing, coughing, fever. High risk of spreading the infection to other people through bodily fluid and contact.

STAGE TWO
Around the 15 hour mark, things begin to rapidly decline. Symptoms include: acute encephalopathy, extreme hemoptysis and jaundicing of the eyes. Extremely contagious and violent, loss of control over actions and emotions.

FINAL STAGE
After 24 to 48 hours, they lose all cognitive thinking. Several parts of their brain have suffered irreversible damage. They can no longer recognize people they once knew, and their violent, erratic behavior leads them to bite and scratch anyone. The virus has been aptly referred to as the zombie flu despite the fact they are not 'zombies' in a classic sense. In animals, this causes rapid mutations and insatiable hunger.

ASYMPTOMATIC CARRIERS
The most dangerous of those infected, asymptomatic carriers have contracted the virus and lived. They show no readily visible signs of having the virus: the only way to identify a carrier is to make them bleed; their blood is darker and rapidly congeals in the cold. Although they won't die from the virus themselves, they're capable of passing it to other people.
